Guaranty Trust Bank

If GTBank doesn’t get on the main list, they will always have honorable mentions – for being one of the pioneers of coolness on Social Media. Not much a lot of spectacular things were done in 2017, but they gave us the 737 song, the most popular jingle last year.

Haansbro

FCMB

Sometime in the last quarter of 2017, FCMB discovered the art of witty clap-backs and Twitter savagery. It is interesting to watch them dish it to users, back to back. They should exercise caution though. There’s a thin line between class and ridicule. A word is enough for the bank.

They had people rapping to beats, repping their city and sharing photos of their glow up, They visited campuses across Nigeria where they had Cool Breeze parties headlined by acts like Reekado Banks, Humblesmith and LAX.

Dano

The hugely popular #FlavourChronicles was powered by Dano, the milk brand. It was their strategy to promote new products with different flavors, and they had almost all the Instagram Comedians creating hilarious skits for them.
