FUTO as it is commonly referred to is known for its technologically above-average graduates. Located in Owerri, Imo State, the University was established in 1980 and has 7 colleges, which include the Schools of Agriculture, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Management and Management Technology, Health and Environmental Sciences. It has a population 0f 22,000 students and is currently ranked 3214th worldwide.

Founded on the 4th of October 1962, the Ahmadu Bello University is located in Zaria, Kaduna State and is named after the Sardauna of Sokoto – Alhaji Sir Ahmadu Bello, the first premier of Northern Nigeria. ABU runs a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate programs; including its own Teaching Hospital, which is one of the largest in the country. The university boasts of one of the highest amount of graduates turned political leaders such as former president of Nigeria, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, former Vice Presidents Namadi Sambo and Atiku Abubakar, and also a host of former governors.

It is currently ranked 3049th in the world.
