Nigeria won big at the 2021 Grammys held live at the Staples Center, Los Angeles and broadcast virtually around the world. While Wizkid took home a gramophone for the Brown Skin Girl video, Burna Boy went home with Nigeria’s most significant win yet – Global Music Album of the Year for Twice as Tall.

Beyonce also broke multiple records after grabbing 4 awards. She became the woman with the most Grammy Awards, surpassing Alison Kraus. She also became the vocalist with the most Grammy Awards, and together with Megan Thee Stallion, the first all female winners of the best rap song.

All four of the main categories were won by women: Billie Eilish for Record of The Year, Taylor Swift for Album of the Year, H.E.R. for Song of the Year and Megan Thee Stallion for Best New Artist.
