If you haven’t seen these cartoons, you’re on a long thing

Animated films

We watched some of them when we were growing up and sang along with them. Long after we became adults, we still remember the words and how they made us feel back in the day. In no particular order, these are the 10 most popular songs from animated films/cartoons that most if not all of us have seen.

Enjoy, share.

  1. Lion King – He lives in you

Performed by Lebo M. and his South African Choir for the album Rhythm of the Pride Lands, ‘He lives in you’ was co-written by Mark Mancina and Jay Rifkin. Tina Turner and Diana Ross made their own versions of the song and both were critically acclaimed.

  1. Beauty and the beast – Beauty and the beast

Céline Dion and Peabo Bryson performed a pop version of Beauty and the beast, from the iconic animated movie of same name. It became an international pop hit, peaking at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was also nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year at the Grammys, and it won the Grammy for Dion and Bryson for Best Pop Duo/Group Vocal Performance.
