Top reality TV show, Big Brother Nigeria is back, after an 11 year hiatus. The first edition which held back in 2006 had contestants like Gideon (the Tinsel actor), Katung (the eventual winner), Yinka Oremosu (the big guy) and Ebuka, the ‘fine boy’ who has gone on to become one of the top TV personalities in Nigeria and is the host of the 2017 Big Brother Nigeria.

We are excited to present the 12 contestants as curated on our Twitter account.

  1. Uriel – The bubbly wig maker from Imo State who loves saying “oh my gosh!”

  1. Ekemini is a fitness professional from Calabar. He comes complete with abs and the body of a Greek god.

  1. Cocoice is a rapper, and, after busting on stage, she already has a lot of fans.

  1. Bally is a Statistician from Kaduna. He wants to win so he can pursue his music dreams

  1. Marvis’ is from a polygamous home with 19 children (and 2 on the way). She plays basketball, football and loves rapping.

  1. Tony – or Thin Tall Tony is a model, dancer and actor. At 6ft 7inches, he is the tallest in the house.

  1. Gifty – is an actress from Anambra state. She is counting on self-love, faith and positivity to win

  1. Soma is a 24 year old graphic artist, producer and model. He is in a relationship. *Laughs in we’ll see how that goes.*

  1. Bisola is a 31 year old single mom. She is an actress, comedian, singer, presenter and Instagram celeb.

  1. Miyonse is a professional chef from Lagos State. Well, it seems like the house has a cook now.

  1. T-Boss is a piercing and tattoo specialist from Edo State. We have noticed her nipple piercings … *smacks lips*

  1. Efe – the Warri boy who lives in Jos has shown he is not very balanze upstairs. And we love him already.


There you have it, the first 12 contestants. Ebuka has revealed that two more will be entering the house next week. We will update when they come in. Stay tuned for weekly Big Brother updates here.
