Ronaldo and Cavani
Some would say Ronaldo was helping Cavani out because Portugal was behind in their 2nd round game against Uruguay, but this photo of the two giants would go down as one of the best photos from the tournament.

Kolinda
After France, I think it’s reasonable to say that Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, the president of Croatia is the biggest winner at the Worldcup. Photos of her flying economy, watching the game with other fans, rooting for her team, etc., have endeared her to all of us, and something tells me tourism in Croatia will immensely increase after this tournament.

Macron and Kolinda chemistry
After visiting Nigeria, the young president of France joined others in Russia to root for his team. It was a delight to watch him cheer them on, but what is even more delightful was the final, and the chemistry between him and Kolinda. Words may exaggerate, but pictures don’t.

Pussy Riot
Pussy Riot is a Russian protest group that stages unauthorized provocative guerrilla performances in public places. Their themes include feminism, LGBT rights, and opposition to Russian President Vladimir Putin, whom they consider to be a dictator. At the final game of the tournament, they found their way into the pitch and as stewards chased them, one of them got to hi-five Mbappe before she was caught.

Rain
As dignitaries – including Vladmir Putin, Gianni Infantino, Emmanuel Macron and Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović – got on the platform to award medals to the champions, it began raining heavily. In seconds, someone had an umbrella covering the president of Russia. It took a while before other umbrellas were brought to cover the other dignitaries, including the President of Croatia, who a lot of people thought should have been covered first, as a woman.
Well, equality, right?

Pogba and family
Pogba doesn’t say a lot about his family, but his love for them is evident in his actions. They had been supportive throughout the tournament, cheering him on from the stands, and it was beautiful seeing them all take turns with the coveted trophy after France won.

Shy Kante
Kante is one of the best midfielders in the world, and his brilliance was evident in the world cup. Because he is unassuming and shy, his teammates always tried to put him in the spotlight, so he can get some of the shine. He was so shy that Stephen Nzonzi had to collect the trophy and give it to him so he could take photos. We believe that a picture of his beautiful face with the trophy is a perfect way to end this listicle.
