The Lagos State government-constructed building was completed in 2013 and is estimated to have cost N30 billion. The hotel and resort is located in Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island Lagos and has 22 floors. It is mostly home to multinational companies and consulates.

The Cocoa House is a 26-storey building that once was referred to as the tallest building in Tropical Africa after its completion in 1965. Currently the tallest building in the Oyo State capital of Ibadan, it was built on revenue made from sales of crops such as cocoa, rubber and timber.
