These days anyone can confidently say they want to become musicians without coming under heavy backlash from friends and family. The above fact is very true because the millennium has brought in a lot of glamour and most importantly money for these artistes.

Despite all the drama involved in the music business and general entertainment, sadly only a few artistes make it really big in the industry. 80% of the success enjoyed by artistes circulates around only about 20% of the lot.

These days success in the Nigerian music industry is not only exclusive to older musicians but younger Nigerian artistes are also cutting big checks too. The likes of Wizkid and Davido are perfect examples that success can happen to even the young at heart.

On that note let’s check out some of the most successful nigerian musicians under age 25.

  • Kizz Daniel

Taking the number one spot on the list is Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe born on the 1st of May, 1994.

Kiss Daniel is clearly the leader in his ‘generation’ of artists.

He came into the Nigerian music industry with a banging debut single ‘Woju’.

Since then the 24-year-old has been dropping hits back to back with an award-winning debut album ‘New Era’.

To top that Kiss Daniel is now a record label boss after exiting G-Worldwide to set up his music imprint Fly Boi Inc.

Since emerging on the scene Vado has a string of awards to his name and he is still a very hot commodity.

  • Korede Bello

Since his signing with Nigeria’s biggest record label, Mavin Records Korede Bello has grown through the ranks to become a household name in the country. His biggest music break came on the heels of his 2015 ‘national anthem’ music piece ‘God Win’. The song saw Korede Bello rise rapidly to become one of the most played Nigerian musicians in the country. The February born 23-year-old has also delivered a continental hit with ‘Romantic’ and an even bigger ‘Do Like That’. Korede Bello has been privileged in his short career to perform across the globe. He is a multiple brand ambassador.

  • Mayorkun

Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel (born March 23, 1994), known professionally as Mayorkun, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and pianist. He was discovered on twitter by Davido when he posted a cover of one of Davido’s songs “The Money” featuring Olamide He was later signed to Davido’s DMW in 2016 and released his first single called “Eleko”. Since then he has been making waves and dropping hit songs.

  • Lil Kesh

Born Keshinro Ololade, Lil Kesh burst on the scene after he got signed by YBNL boss Olamide.

The rapper won the hearts of Nigerian music love and also gained national prominence on the heels of his monster hit ‘Shoki’ in 2014.

From ‘Lyrically’, to ‘Shoki’, to ‘Efejoku’, every single was a hit back to back.

The 23-year-old has had the opportunity to perform on some of the big stages around the world.

He has a solid debut album ‘Young And Getting It’, he is the youngest record label executive in Nigeria as the honcho of YAGI Records.
