Happening on the 4th of March, there are a total of 58 films – including a Kenyan film – jostling for one or more of the 24 golden statue categories. With 13 nods, The Shape of Water leads the nominations pack, followed by Dunkirk, with 8. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri has 7 nominations, while Darkest Hour and Phantom Thread have 6 each.
