Coachella attracts thousands of attendees from around the globe and has become a cultural phenomenon with back to back music performances from favorite musical Artistes around the globe, a lot of ferris wheel photographs, video selfies, and unusual festival apparel on your social media feeds as fans, celebrities, and influencers descend upon the desert.
The festival kicked off with a bang, particularly for Afrobeats, featuring major performances and memorable moments. Here are some highlights from the opening weekend that stood out to us.

This first-time collaboration was met with great enthusiasm and excitement from Afrobeats fans and fans worldwide.

Skepta was one of the musicians scheduled to perform; the UK rapper chose to sing his and Portable’s Tony Montana song. Skepta got the entire crowd thrilled by singing Portable’s part of the song before rapping his lines. Many of the spectators moved to the music and screamed in delight.
