10 Artists Who Dance Just As Well Or Better Than They Sing

We know them for their lyrical talent (or lack of) but the real question is, can they bust a move? The best singers aren’t always the best performers, especially on the dance floor.

Michael Jackson was as famous for his dancing moves as he was for his record-breaking hits. And icon Prince made a name for himself with his risque, but incredibly talented stage antics. And with the recent revolution of the viral video, wonders such as Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus have become famous for their signature moves. Love ’em or hate ’em, they got your attention!

We will be looking more at the current artists and not the past legends/icons with likes of; Michael Jackson, Prince, James Brown, Janet Jackson and lots more .

Here are the list of artists who can dance as well as they sing;

Christopher Maurice Brown (born May 5, 1989) is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and actor. Alongside his work in the music industry, Brown has pursued an acting career. In 2007, he made his on-screen feature film debut in Stomp the Yard, and appeared as a guest on the television series The O.C.. Other films Brown has appeared in include This Christmas (2007), Takers (2010), Think Like a Man (2012), and Battle of the Year (2013) and lots more. He’s loved for how he moves to literally any beat thrown to him or featured in. Brown has sold over 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the world’s best-selling music artists. Throughout his career, Brown has won several awards, including a Grammy Award, 15 BET Awards, 4 Billboard Music Awards, and 6 Soul Train Music Awards. According to Billboard, Brown has the seventh most Hot 100 entries on the chart with 90.

2. Usher Raymond


Usher Terry Raymond IV is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor. Born in Dallas, but raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee was where he lived until moving to Atlanta, Georgia. At the age of 12, his mother put him in local singing competitions, before catching the attention of a music A&R from LaFace Records.

Usher has sold 23.8 million albums and 38.2 million digital songs in the United States. Internationally, he has sold 75 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Usher has won numerous awards and accolades including eight Grammy Awards and 18 Billboard Music Awards. At the end of 2009, Billboard named him the second most successful artist of the 2000s decade, the number-one Hot 100 artist of the 2000s decade, and ranked Confessions as the top solo album of the 2000s decade.

When Usher and Chris are placed in comparison or argument, its pretty heated as its very difficult to decide who is better.

3. Beyoncé


Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter (born September 4, 1981) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, record producer and dancer. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Beyoncé performed in various singing and dancing competitions as a child. She rose to fame in the late 1990s as lead singer of the R&B girl-group Destiny’s Child.

Beyonce is one great performer and dancer who is so energetic in her dance moves. She is one of the best female artist who knows how to dance and damn well how to sing.

4. Jason Derulo


Jason Joel Desrouleaux (born September 21, 1989), known professionally as Jason Derulo (formerly stylised as Derülo), is an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. Since the start of his solo recording career in 2009, Derulo has sold over 30 million single and has achieved eleven Platinum singles, including “Wiggle”, “Talk Dirty”, “In My Head”, and “Whatcha Say” all of which has dynamic and unique dance moves.

5. Teyana Taylor


Teyana Taylor is gracing stages across the world with her soulful voice, but she’s made her sexy dance moves a vital part of her performance.

6. Jennifer Lopez


J. Lo actually started her career in entertainment as a Fly Girl dancer on In Living Color, from there she catapult herself to stardom. She is currently one of the Judges of a dance competition “World of dance”.

7. Ne-Yo


Shaffer Chimere Smith (born October 18, 1979), known professionally as Ne-Yo, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, actor and dancer. He gained fame for his songwriting abilities when he penned his 2004 hit “Let Me Love You” for singer Mario. The single’s successful release in the United States prompted an informal meeting between Ne-Yo and Def Jam’s label head and the signing of a recording contract.

8. Ciara


5… 4… 3… 2… 1 let’s go!. Ciara really caused and uprise with her new single, Level up which comes with its own dynamic dance moves, and you don’t get to see a lot of this.

9. Justin Timberlake


JT has laid low from the music scene recently, but that doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten about his moves – most inspired by the King Of Pop. Justin doesn’t make a ton of major appearances anymore, but when he does he is bound to bust some moves.

10. Omarion


Omari Ishmael Grandberry (born November 12, 1984), known by his stage name Omarion, is an American singer, songwriter, actor and dancer. He is best known as the lead singer of the American R&B boy band B2K; the group achieved success in the early 2000s with singles like “Bump, Bump, Bump”, “Uh Huh”, and “Girlfriend”, which all reached success on the Billboard Hot 100. After the group disbanded in 2004, Omarion embarked on a solo career and released his debut album, O in 2005, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 and received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Album at the 48th Grammy Awards.
