25 supercars seized from Equatorial Guinea Vice President

Following announcement by the Geneva prosecutor’s office that it had closed the probe of Equatorial Guinea Vice President and son of President, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, an auction house in Switzerland has arranged to sell 25 luxury cars seized from the lavish Teodorin. The Teodoro administration has been labeled by rights groups as one the world’s most corrupt. Teodorin had been under investigation which bordered on money-laundering and misappropriation of public assets.

The cars were confiscated by Swiss justice after the opening in 2016 Obiang’s financial wrongdoing case. The most expensive lots are a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, valued at between 4.8m and 5.7m euros ($5.2-6.2m) and a yellow Ferrari hybrid at 2.4-2.6m euros. The cars are expected to rack in a combined estimate of 18.5m Swiss francs ($18.7m)
