“Detty December” is a term that describes the last month of the year when everyone lets loose and parties hard. Although the term is popularly used in Nigeria, it has spread worldwide. To detty yourself in December means to have fun/a good time.

OUTLAW VILLE LAGOS (DEC. 20): Thanks to his Outlaws (Victony fans), Victony has had a mega year that included dropping massive EPs that have spurned multiple hits and collaborating with some of the biggest names in the industry including Burna Boy, Wande Coal, and MayourKun. It is only natural that his first headline concert is in Lagos.

Outlaw Ville will be taking place on the 20th of December in Lagos. Tickets are already on sale and regular tickets are going for #20,000.

52. FLYTIME FEST – PEPSI RHYTHM UNPLUGGED (DEC. 21): Rhythm Unplugged is one of the biggest shows on the continent. The show has been going on for 18 years and has seen some of the biggest local and international acts entertain the people. These years promise to be even more exciting as the lineup includes some of the biggest names in the industry.

This year’s edition of Rhythm Unplugged will be headlined by iconic RnB act Craig David. Other top performers of the day include Adekunle Gold, BNXN, Victony, Pheelz, WandeCoal, MayourKun, Teni, Reekado Banks, Guchi, Behani, LOVN, Raebel, and many more incredible acts.

55. FLYTIME FESTIVAL – ASAKE {MR MONEY WITH THE VIBES CONCERT (DEC. 22)}: 2022 Breakout star and one of the hottest artists in the world this year is Asake. Mr. Money has been spreading his vibes and touring the world with his music. He is bringing this vibe to Lagos this December. 

Asake will be performing at the Eko Convention Center on the 22nd of October, 2022. Regular tickets are going for 70,000 Naira.

56. THE CAVEMEN LIVE IN LAGOS (FRIDAY, DECEMBER, 23)

57. LADY DONLI AND THE LAGOS PANIC LIVE (SATURDAY, DECEMBER 24)
    • LOCATION – LAGOS
58. FLYTIME FESTIVAL – STARBOY LIVE (DEC. 24): One of many shows the biggest bird will be headlining in Lagos this year. Africa’s biggest music star will be performing at the Eko Convention Center on the 24th of December, 2022. There are few artists that can get fans out to a concert on Christmas eve and Popsy tops that list.

Wizkid will be shutting down Eko Hotel on the 24th of December and there is no party like a Lagos party. 

59. YUMI FESTIVAL (SATURDAY, DECEMBER 24)
    • LOCATION: MURI OKUNOLA PARK, LAGOS
60. ISLAND BLOCK PARTY (DEC. 26): Our favorite block party is organizing a RED CHRISTMAS PARTY this December. If you’ve ever been to a block party then you know Lagos block parties are unlimited fun.

This Boxing Day, the Island Block Party is shutting down Lagos Island with its Red Christmas Party. It is going to be a cinema !!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

61. KCEE THANKSGIVING FESTIVAL (DECEMBER 28)
    • LOCATION – EKO CONVENTION CENTRE, LAGOS

62. EKO4SHOW (DEC. 29): Stacked December by Toro Entertainment has all the makings of a legendary detty December. Nothing seems more fun and entertaining than vibing on the beach with some of the legends that paved the way for the new music stars we listen to. Eko4Show is taking concertgoers on a journey through the 1990s and 2000s era with a legendary lineup of some of the most iconic superstars to ever rock the stage including Awilo, 2BABA, D’Banj, 9ICE, Daddy Showkey, Femi Kuti, DR. Sid, MI, Ice Prince, Jesse Jags, Bracket, Durella, Cobhams, Omawunmi, Waje and many more.

63. BLACKOUT LAGOS – DJ TUNEZ & FRIENDS (THURSDAY, DECEMBER 29)
    • LOCATION: HARDROCK CAFE, LAGOS
64. VIBES ON THE BEACH WITH BIG WIZ (DEC. 30): Global superstar and King of Afrobeats Wizkid is bringing the party to his home turf with “Vibes on the beach with Big Wiz”. On the 30th of December, Wizkid FC and other music fans will get a chance to party with the biggest music star on this side of the world.

Many Nigerians wait till the last minute to cop tickets so the organizers have put out early bird tickets which are selling fast for #30,000. This is an opportunity for fans to cop tickets earlier. The event is going to take place at La Campagne Tropicana, Victoria Island, Lagos.

65. THE DJ RAVE (DEC. 31): The DJ Rave is a crossover party for those that want to end the year with premier fun and start 2023 on a high. The lineup for this event is bonkers and include some of the biggest DJ in the game. Honestly, is there a better way to end the year than vibing on the beach with quality music from top DJs??
