The 55th NAACP Image Awards nominations were revealed on Thursday, recognizing excellence in various categories such as Black filmmaking, writing, music, podcasting, and more.
Colman Domingo, from “Rustin” and “The Color Purple,” leads with three nods, including Entertainer of the Year. Ayo Edebiri got two nominations in TV. Netflix and Amazon got the most nods in film and television, dominating the television and film categories with 55 and 27 nominations, respectively. In music, Victoria Monét and Usher received many nominations, with six and five nods, respectively.

The winners of the 55th NAACP Image Awards will be announced during a two-hour live TV special on Saturday, March 16th at 8:00 PM ET/PT on BET and CBS. Additionally, the NAACP will recognize winners in non-televised categories from March 11 to 14, with the announcement streaming on naacpimageawards.net.
