10 Most Memorable Blackberry Smartphones

Blackberry smartphones are phones that we will not forget in a hurry. The announcement of the famous Blackberry Messenger (BBM) shutting down on May 31st brought memories. At one point in our lives, we all owned/wanted to own a Blackberry smartphone.

Nollywood even made a movie and called it “Blackberry Babes”. The Blackberry craze was everywhere. I can not even believe we were hustling to use phones like that with dead cameras.

I remember one babe had a matching bold 5 with her boyfriend the month it was released. It was so cool. If it were today, Nigerians would have been shouting “God, when?” all over the place.

Fun Fact: People ended their relationships because of Blackberry phones. People fought over their partners not buying them the smartphone. Some fought over their partner not using their pictures on their ‘DP’. Pastors ‘caught’ their members watching porn because of the “show everyone what you are listening to” feature.
