Music helps flowers grow faster, and 9 other random facts you probably didn’t know

These random facts may or may not be worth knowing, but we think they’re fun so we’re sharing anyway. Enjoy, and share 

1. Handshakes

Handshakes were originally done to make sure the person you meet isn’t carrying any weapons. Shaking was meant to dislodge weapons concealed up the sleeve. And I thought I had trust issues. 

2. IQ and dreams

Scientists claim that the higher your IQ, the more you dream when you sleep. No wonder I dream every night, even daydream sef.

3. Flowers and music

Flowers are known to grow faster when music plays near them. So when next you plant those beautiful roses in your garden, be sure to play them some cool music – Vic O or Tonto Dikeh.

4. Orange – the fruit, color

The color orange was named after the fruit, not the other way around. Have you ever wondered? I have. But as we don’t have orange oranges in Nigeria, e no ‘consign’ us

5. Honey of life

Apparently, honey is the only food that includes all the substances necessary to sustain life. It includes enzymes, minerals, water and vitamins. This is very unfortunate news for me, simply because I hate honey.

6. Bacteria

There are 10times more Bacteria in your body than actual body cells. Good thing “dirty no dey kill African man” right?

7. Giraffes

Giraffes have no vocal chords. As in, dem no fit shout.

8. Lion kings

Male lions eat first, and make women and children eat last. Lion feminists would NOT be happy about this. 

9. Baby sharks

Baby tiger sharks eat each other in the womb until only one shark is born. LOL, and you thought your siblings were mean.

10. Diamonds

On Jupiter And Saturn it rains diamonds.
