When popular Digipreneur, Activist and Influencer Chidi Okereke – also known as Chydee – tweeted that he had 3 accounts he was maintaining with Access Bank and hoped they will not send him only a text message on his birthday, we are certain he did not expect the resulting offer from the Bank.
The official Access Bank Twitter account asked him to get 1000 retweets in 4 hours for an all-expense paid trip to Egypt, and in less than 20 minutes, the 1000 retweets had been gotten.
The now viral tweet has since been retweeted more than 14,000 times and other tweets in the build-up have been retweeted and liked more than 20,000 times.
It has also been reshared on Instagram, Facebook and Whatsapp sparking different reactions from different people – from praise for the bank for being benevolent to questions around it possibly being a marketing stunt.
