Nigerian-British heavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua was reportedly involved in a road traffic accident on Monday along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.

The crash occurred near the Sagamu Interchange in the Makun area, where the vehicle conveying the former world champion allegedly collided with a stationary truck on the busy highway.
Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) arrived at the scene shortly after the incident to control traffic and begin preliminary investigations.
According to sources, Anthony Joshua sustained minor injuries and remained conscious following the accident.
Tragically, two individuals were confirmed dead at the scene, although their identities have yet to be disclosed by authorities.
The incident caused significant traffic disruption, with movement along the expressway affected for several hours during rescue and recovery operations.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Anthony Joshua’s management team nor the Ogun State command of the FRSC has issued an official statement.
